Karuna Recordings was founded in 2007 by Alec DeMeyer to showcase some of the most talented emrging producers of Ethnic Fusion from around the Globe! We here at Karuna are committed to bringing you the best in world Electronica. BIO: Based out of Seattle, Alec DeMeyer (Dj Muad'deep) has been laying down grooves for over a decade, and creating his own since 2001. In 2004 he moved to Seattle, WA and dedicated his life to producing Electronic music for social change. In the wake of 9/11 he decided to incorperate the traditional sounds of cultures from around the world into his music to promote global tolerrence and understanding and to preserve cultural identities. His unique original tracks, blending the tribal sounds of Central and South Asia with the funky sounds of Western Electronica, have found their way into the record cases of such internationally renowned DJ's as PALASH from Washington D.C., DJ r-H from Singapore, DJ Asif of Fusing Naked Beats from London, DJ Iside from Dubai, U.A.E. and DJ Cheb i Sabbah from San Fransisco, CA.
